was eating wife's cake(lao po bing) jux now...or rather, husband's cake (lao gong bing) jux now...then was reading the packaging and they told of the legend of wife's cake...came abt when the wife sold herself to get $$ for the ill-healthed father-in-law...the husband, desparate to redeem his wife back, made a lot of biscuits and sold them to get $$ to redeem his wife...and finally with all his earnings, he managed to redeem his wife back and they lived together happily ever after....his recipe went famous from place to place and was then called 'wife's cake'...
interesting rite?(though sounds quite typical fairy tale..haha) |
